A middle aged man was on Thursday charged at Kwale court for stealing a gold chain worth Sh1 million.
Lucas Maina was accused of breaking into Tandoori Club night club in Diani location, Kwale County, on January 19, this year and stealing a golden chain belonging to the club owner Marcel Vallmer.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges before the Resident Magistrate Ms. Christine Njagi and was released on a bond of Sh500, 000 with surety of a similar amount or a cash bail of Sh200,000.
The case will be mentioned on March 15 and heard on February 4.
