The Nation Media Group family is mourning the untimely demise of two of its staff in Uganda. The duo, attached to Uganda’s leading newspaper the Daily Monitor, died in a road accident that also left two of their colleagues seriously injured on Sunday.
The dead have been identified as Mr Tony Kaddu, a driver, and Mr Daniel Adda from the circulation department.
The accident occurred along the Mbale-Tirinyi Highway in Budaka district when the Daily Monitor’s delivery vehicle rammed into a lorry from behind, killing the two instantly.
Eyes witnesses say it took more than half an hour to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage of the vehicle that was stuck under the truck.
