The Opposition coalition Cord has suspended its planned mass action scheduled to kick off from January 4 to protest proposed amendments to the electoral laws.
Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka told a press conference on Thursday that the decision to suspend the protests was made to give the Senate’s committe on legal affairs time to conclude its deliberations on the matter.
Mr Musyoka however announced that the coalition’s leadership will meet on January 5 to review decisions made by the Senate before advising their supporters further.
