Investigative journalist Mohammed Ali on Monday hit out at a critic on Twitter telling him investigative reporting is not as easy as farming.
The user had shared concerns of ethical journalism asking the award winning investigative journalist to uphold ethics.
Mwabili Mwagodi had lamented of how he stopped following Jicho Pevu TV series by Ali after realizing the crew was not respecting the privacy of subjects.
He recommended that in the coming year the investigative journalists restore confidence by being ethical, a comment which the journalist didn’t take kindly.
Would you kindly join us ndio ujue investigative journalism is not farming https://t.co/zXKUXc6JnX

But Ali’s response also seemed to rub some users the wrong way.
@MohaJichoPevu kwani investigate journalism ndio imekaangwa kuliko farming, give farmers a break.

Huyo binti umemharibia maisha.

Mwabili Mwagodi also added his voice to the banter seeking to clarify his point.
@MohaJichoPevu my point is that you were not right in revealing that poor girl’s identity without her knowledge. Sijasema its farming.
