Three men were sentenced to death by a Isiolo court for robbery with violence.
Samson Mwingirwa , Kennedy Kiogora and Michael Murungi were found guilty of robbing David Kinoti Sh700 while armed with crude weapons.
They had been charged together with Francis Kanyiri who was acquitted under section 215 of the Criminal Procedure Code after the court gave him the benefit of doubt following his defence, which convinced the magistrate that he was a victim of circumstances.
The four who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Joan Irura were charged with robbery with violence contrary to section 296(2) of the penal code.
The four have been in custody after the court heard that on August 6, 2014, at Sun African bar and restaurant, jointly while armed with offensive weapons robbed Kinoti and used actual violence on the victim.
They were given 14 days to appeal and escorted to Meru G.K prison.
