
October is the Breast Cancer Awareness month and October 13 marked the “No Bra Day”; but it’s not what you are thinking.
It is a day set aside to raise awareness for the importance of breast cancer screening, recognizing the symptoms of breast cancer and regular self-examinations in the fight against breast cancer, by encouraging women to leave their bras at home – literally.
However, cheeky Kenyans on Twitter, infamous for their penchant to “kula kwa macho”, decided to create different meaning to the concept of “No Bra Day.”
The hashtag #NoBraDay was trending as devious Kenyans thought that it meant it was a day for women not to wear the essential lingerie, causing dozens of Kenyans to misconstrue the true meaning and posting funny memes.
