A woman is threatening to seek legal action to stop a family friend from stalking her claiming the man has been harassing her for the last five years.
In a series of tweets, Taiwa the complainant, says she got to know the man guy, who is the son of his father’s friend, while she was in class eight.
A friendship was formed after he and his father visited Taiwa’s family in many other occasions.
Five years later when she joined university she randomly stumbles upon the man and exchange contact information.
Fast forward 5 years later.
I’m just done w form 4
I bump into him in town, asks for my no.
No harm in that,I know him right? Ok I give my no— Subtle Sali’nity (@_taiwa_) October 2, 2016
Since then the man whose name is not mentioned, has been bombarding her with texts and stalking her on social media.
She, has, however, stopped engaging in any form of conversation with him.
I start 1st year. This guy is CONSTANTLY texting me.
Says he has a gift for me,comes to school
We take a walk,I don’t leave the school gate— Subtle Sali’nity (@_taiwa_) October 2, 2016
I consistently tell him to leave me alone.

Haven’t told any family about this yet
He comes to school again— Subtle Sali’nity (@_taiwa_) October 2, 2016
Even after blacklisting him, the guy would get new number and continue harassing her with messages of love, and marriage proposals.

“Although he hasn’t made any violent threats, he is a potentially very dangerous man and this is a problem I evidently have to deal with soon.” Says Taiwa.
The woman laid bare her story after an Orange employee sent a message to a female customer he had served, after obtaining her number while on official duty.
In what many think is a Romeo and Juliet love story although Juliet is not receptive, the monologue has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans on twitter with some thinking the girl is playing hard to get and should give the guy a chance.

I'm not sure filing a formal complaint w the police will help much. It'll prob be ridiculed, cause you know Kenyan police..

The other option is to get a lawyer and have proper court proceedings on invasion of privacy/ harassment, what not
— Subtle Sali'nity (@_taiwa_) October 2, 2016
I generally don't feel like I have a very strong case,
But it has become a family crisis and we shall have to go through w the 2nd option— Subtle Sali'nity (@_taiwa_) October 2, 2016
