A session of the Senate Public Accounts Committee was on Wednesday violently disrupted after Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko engaged in a physical fight with Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.

It began as a verbal exchange started by the Senator who accused Governor Kidero of “murder”, but soon degenerated into an physical fight forcing the committee to abruptly adjourn.

Journalists covering the session were thrown out when the two began fighting.
Senator Sonko was later led out of Parliament buildings by orderlies.
