Similar protests were witnessed in Migori Town over the arrest of Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.
Mr Mohammed was detained alongside Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi women rep) and Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama over a press conference where they called for the arrest of Mr Kuria and two other Jubilee leaders.
They warned that they would be forced to take unspecified action should the police fail to act.
Besides Mr Kuria, Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu and his Bahati counterpart Kimani Ngunjiri were also wanted by police over hate-speech.
