
A robbery mission by five University of Nairobi (UoN) students went horribly wrong after disagreeing on how to share the spoils leading to their arrest.
The students from UoN’s School of Business were arrested were on Tuesday morning and locked up at Kikuyu Police Station as investigations into the matter continue.
Neigbours counted hearing the students were heard arguing amongst themselves over weapon possession, prompting them to call the police.
“We heard them banging the doors telling friends inside to return the gun or else they would douse the house in petrol,” said Samuel Mwaura a resident of Kabete.
According to the police a search conducted found the students in possession of several mobile phones and crude weapons including knives and a home-made gun with five rounds of ammunition.
